Smoothie making enterprise

Students from the Skills Hub have been working hard on leading a great new initiative involving smoothie making. They are working hard to manage the process from start to finish; from researching recipes, trailing different flavours and textures to pricing the smoothies.

Once they decided on the best recipes, blended and packaged their smoothies, the students have been taking them out to local business to sell. So far their smoothie innovations have been taken into local businesses such as BMW.

As well as teaching the students vital team work skills, this initiative demonstrates the use of key skills such as communication, creativity and integration with their local communities.

One of the students Natasha told us “this project is giving me some great experience in the business industry and I am really enjoying being involved”

A customer from BMW also said “this was a great little treat at work – hoping to see the students again soon with some new recipes for us to try out”

Testimony to the hard work and dedication that the students have been putting into their work, keep it up guys!

Thank you, and God bless you for all the work you have done with my son. It feels like I have my son back.
