The Skills Hub (TSH) is a co-educational Alternative Provision (AP) that caters for students in the London Borough of Hillingdon who cannot attend mainstream school for a variety of reasons, predominantly permanent exclusion.
This section provides key information including how the school spends the funding it receives, its policies and procedures, how students perform in exams and assessment, inspection information and the schools self-evaluation.
The Skills Hub provides full-time education for children as an interim arrangement while appropriate substantive placements are being secured or a child is deemed ready to return to their mainstream school
We want to make your experience at The Skills Hub about much more than simply your curriculum.
Parents and carers are the most important people in the lives of our students. In order for our work to be successful, we depend very much on their co-operation.
The Orwell Pathway is designed for students who may benefit from a more practical approach to education. Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) is part of their curriculum where they have the opportunity to achieve Gold, Silver and Bronze DoE Award and a number of AQA Entry Level 1, 2, and 3 certificates. They participate in off-site activities to focus on their personal development, behaviour and attitudes. While on site they focus on achieving Level 1 Functional Skills qualifications in English and maths as well as AQA Unit Awards for PSHE, PE and science.
