Key Stage 3

Key Stage 3 (Year 7, 8 & 9) Pathways

At The Skills Hub we teach Key Stage 3 (Year 7, 8 & 9) as one group. However, within this group there are specific pathways that meet the needs of individual students joining The Skills Hub. The KS3 pathways intend to increase the rates of successful reintegration back into mainstream school.

There are two KS3 pathways: Seymour and Harrison. For more information please click on the links in the menu.

All students joining the Skills Hub will undergo initial baseline assessments during their Induction Week. These assessments help us to identify the most appropriate Pathway for each student and can highlight any unidentified special educational needs.

All pathways have at least 1 PSHE/RSE and PE lesson per week to enhance their personal development, behaviour and attitudes

All pathways are not exclusive or limited to the above qualifications outlined in each pathway. In some cases a bespoke curriculum that compliments each separate pathway can be designed to meet the individual needs of the student. All students have the opportunity to achieve outcomes and qualifications that include GCSE, Functional Skills and Unit Awards regardless of their pathway.
