Reimagining your Future

Our KS4 students dressed up and ‘showed out’ for an extraordinary motivational event at The Novotel Hotel Conference Room. The event, ‘Reimagining Your Future’ was held to challenge, provoke and engage our young people at a time of confusion and uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

Staff and guest speakers spoke passionately about their past; questionable choices, lessons learnt, moments of redemption. Former students returned to share their stories of disappointment, setbacks and finally, their triumphs through a steely determination to succeed. Students were able to visualise a future and the steps required to materialise their hopes and dreams. The day was made even more memorable by the students who made pledges to change the things getting in the way of their success.

A huge thank you to the Novotel Hotel who were amazing hosts. We also extend thanks to our special guests Craig Dyer, Record Label Executive, Laith Wallace, Product Designer, Morrisons supermarket for their gifts for our students, the brilliant staff team at The Skills Hub, our ex-students and finally our phenomenal young people who showed up and ‘showed out’.

Some days bring unspeakable joy at The Skills Hub.

Thank you, and God bless you for all the work you have done with my son. It feels like I have my son back.
