Mosaics workshop

Year 9 students enjoyed getting creative in a special Mosaic’s workshop as part of a workshop that encouraged them to think about their futures.

Moving from Year 9 to Year 10 can be a particularly significant change for young people. In Year 10, your child will be asked to choose their GCSE subjects and be thinking about their futures. The term ‘options’ is used to describe the subjects which students can take at GCSE level. Preparing for change and selecting ‘options’ for GCSEs can be daunting.

We hosted a therapeutic and creative workshop where students were able to discuss their futures, ask questions about the GCSE subjects, and discuss any barriers or challenges they may be facing when achieving their goals and making progress. The workshop was also an opportunity to provide tips to help bridge the gap between Year 9 and 10.

As you can see below the students made some striking mosaics and we hope it helped them to start thinking about their future.
