Learners from The Skills Hub enjoy urban farm visit
Learners from The Skills Hub enjoyed an interactive trip to Hounslow Urban Farm, where they spent the day meeting a range of friendly farm animals and taking part in hands-on animal encounters.
During the visit, learners had the chance to interact with a variety of animals including those such as goats and pigs that might be found on a farm. The experience provided opportunities to learn about how animals are cared for and the role farms play in our communities.
One of the highlights of the day was getting hands-on with some more exotic creatures. It was great to see learners stepping out of their comfort zone to handle insects, reptiles and even a rather large snake.
Visits such as these help bring learning to life and help to trigger interesting conversations as well as giving the learners new experiences outside the classroom.
