Hampers for our neighbours

As a centre we made the decision to give our elderly neighbours the gift of a hand made hamper. In school we encourage our young people, parents and staff to contribute food items or donate money to purchase items for these hampers. We then had a short shopping trip to the local supermarket, where students purchased additional items and gift wrap for the hampers to make them look even nicer!

Our KS3 students had a great time wrapping the boxes, writing a card, and filling the hampers before delivering them to our neighbours with a personal greeting.

It is great to see the students appreciating the value of giving, and taking the time to think of others.

Thank you, and God bless you for all the work you have done with my son. It feels like I have my son back.
