Young People’s Hub Free School
The Young People’s Hub (YPH) Free School will be a co-educational Alternative Provision school with 120 places for children and young people aged 5-19 in the Hillingdon and North West London region. With building work starting in January 2021, we intend to open YPH in January 2023.
The Skills Hub, based in the London Borough of Hillingdon, currently provides alternative provision for children and young people from the ages of 11-16. The intention is to close the current school, The Skills Hub and to create a new Free School, the Young People’s Hub, which extends the provision in the area from Key Stage 1 through to post 16.
We strongly believe that extending entry in this way will support children to achieve more fully as a result of access to specialist intervention and teaching from an early age, continuously through to post 16. This wider age range and increased numbers presents a substantial change in the profile of our existing facilities.
