Careers Dragon’s Den

Well done to the four pupils who bravely put themselves and their business ideas forward to the Dragon’s Den style panel at the Careers Fair. The pupils’ business ideas ranged from interior design to journalism in war zones, online sports broadcasting and a shisha lounge. The students answered questions from the panel of experts and impressed them all with their knowledge.

The panel gave detailed feedback to the pupils and commented on their passion, clear understanding of the market they were interested in, personal confidence and knowledge of their potential market niche. The best answer was from Ames, who when asked where he saw his business in five years, responded by saying “Booming”. Beau was praised for her clear plans for the future and Fahad for his laser sharp focus of his market. The panel awarded the trophy to Johnny because they felt he articulated his passion and inspiration with confidence and a strong conviction.

We ended the day with a motivational talk from Andrew, during which the pupils in the audience were reminded of the need to work hard both for their upcoming exams and in securing their next steps after they finished at The Skills Hub.
